Stila "In The Light" Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

On one of my many recent trips to Boots with Louise (I think we spend far too much of our lives in there), we were walking out after making our purchases at the till and we passed a Stila stand. I've never seen a Stila stand in Boots before, so obviously we had to stop and have a look. The first thing we noticed was this beautiful palette. Never one to pull off bright colours on my eyes, I am very much a neutral eyeshadows girl, so this was right up my street. We swatched a few of the colours and instantly knew we NEEDED to have this. It cost £25, and luckily, I had saved around £27 worth of Boots points (got to love Boots for their points system), so I was able to essentially get this for nothing, just using the points on my card. Bargainous!

The first thing I absolutely loved about this palette, was the colour range. I actually don't own any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes because there weren't enough matte shades for my liking, and not all the colours floated my boat. This one however, has 4 matte shades and the shimmer shades are colours i'd wear a lot. The second thing I loved, which is an important factor, is the consistency of the shadows.  The shimmer shades are so creamy and easy to blend and the matte colours are velvety and soft. Both are also extremely highly pigmented. The other thing which swayed me to purchase, was the fact that it came with a Stila Smudgestick. These liners are absolutely amazing. They apply so easily, have super pigmentation, and within seconds of you smudging it out or leaving it how you'd like it, it stays puts until you wash it off. The shade is "Damsel" and is a deep matte brown (my favourite colour for eyeliner).

You can create so many looks with this palette, I feel like it ticks all the boxes for me. There is a gorgeous inner corner colour (Kitten - A Stila staple I believe), various other gorgeous shades to apply to the lid, and a matte brown and black for smoking it out lightly, or more dramatically for night time. The only colour I feel I won't get too much use out of is "Night Sky" which is the shimmer grey/blue. Blue toned greys don't look good on my eyes (I think it might be because I have blue eyes or possibly just doesn't bode well with my skin tone, I don't know). I think it's such good value for money, £25 for 10 good sized eyeshadows of great quality and an eyeliner, which on it's own is priced at £14 anyway! I absolutely love it, and I've been using it every day.

You can buy this Stila palette in Boots (if your local one is lucky enough to have a stand), or there are many sites that sell it online (ASOS, FeelUnique, LookFantastic).

Do you own this palette? If not, YOU NEED IT!

July Favourites.

These are a selection of my most used/favourite products in July!

Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover
I have always wanted to try this, and when my Johnsons eye makeup remover proved to be a tad poopy, and botanics range was buy on get one half price, i decided to buy some.
This stuff is AWESOME.
It removes everything so effortlessly, doesn't irritate my eyes and lasts for ages.
I've been using this about for 3 weeks and it still looks like i've used nothing.
It was only £2.93 in Boots & i will be buying more when i run out.
A nice cheap subsitute for my favourite Lancome eye makeup remover :)

Barry M Lip Gloss - Number 4 - Pastel Pink
These gloss wands are super pigmented. I am very impressed with them.
I also LOVE the smell, it reminds me of strawberry flavour yoghurt. yuumm.
I have been wearing this alot without lipstick underneath (as personally i dont think you need it with this gloss)
It's not too sticky & lasts a decent amount of time too.
Well done Barry M, they are FAB!

Bed Head Tigi Superstar Volume Serum
I have had my eye on this for a while, and bought it last month for around £8 in a House of Fraser outlet. I love a serum that promises volume boost, anything with "Volume" i will most likely purchase.
You really don't need alot of this to notice results.
Again, i have been using this everytime i've washed my hair over the last 5-6 weeks and the bottle still looks as full as the day i purchased it.
It makes the hair bouncy, soft and easy to style.
The consistency is very runny, it's more of an oil than a cream or serum really.
I apply it to the roots of my hair and on the crown of my head when wet, blowdry and voilaa.
If you are a "volume junky" then i suggest you look into this little gem.
The bottle looks pretty on my dressing table too :)
I'm deffo going to check out more in the "Superstar" range.

Mac Daft Pink Blush
I bought this a few weeks ago from the Colour Craft collection & have been wearing it on an almost daily basis.
At first i was like...hmm..theres no way i can wear all this shimmer on the apples of my cheeks.
But do you know what?
I have been. haha
Obviously with matte everything else though.
It gives a gorgeous glowy effect and im seriously loving it.

Loreal Voluminous Mascara
Before a month ago, i had never been able to find this mascara.
Hearing everyone rave about it, i really wanted to give it a go.
I did however, magically manage to find it in a superdrug near me and obviously bought it.
(I have heard they are bringing it back? maybe that's why it was surprisingly easy to find it this time? enlighten me someone...haha)
Anyway, i really love the effect this mascara has. I now know why everyone raved about it.
The quality of this mascara is almost equal to many high end branded ones.
Although, i can't say it's overtaken my love for Hypnose...just been a fab cheap replacement.
Thumbs up for Voluminous!

June Favourites.

I know it's the 2nd July, but i never managed to pop this in at the end of June.
So..here are my June Favourites.
The selection of items i have been LOVING this month...

Palmers Cocoa Butter - Skin Soothing Lotion
This stuff is amazing. It has Shea butter & Alpha/Beta Hydroxy which removes dead skin cells to reveal healthier looking skin. I LOVE palmers. If any of you aren't familar with the range, i highly suggest you check it out. There lotions are so moisturising & I highly reccomend them. Their gradual tanner is one of my HG procuts. This lotion isnt too thick in consistency & sinks into the skin really quickly, & it really does remove dead skin cells. It smells yummy too.

Bare Escentuals Skin Revver-Upper
I have already done a review on this product, which you can find HERE. I have been using it everyday under my moisturiser & it has made a noticeable difference to the appearance of my skin.

St Moriz Fake Tan
Now, i have only recently had this product but i can safetly say, that it is the easiest, nicest fake tan i have ever used. It dries quickly, it doesn't feel sticky or greasy & more importantly, IT WORKS! You can get this in some tkmaxx's & Home Bargains but i never saw any in my nearest Tk Maxx & i don't have a Home Bargains anywhere near me so the ever so lovely Kelly sent it on over to me. The most amazing thing about this FAB fake tan..is the price. It's £2.99. Quite a massive decrease from St Tropez isn't it?
It did leave my bedsheets a little orange, & does have a slight fake tan smell...but it's nothing unbearable like most & the orange-ness didnt stain the sheets & washed straight out so i think for £2.99 its worth it :)

Body Shop Shimmer Cubes
These gorgeous eyeshadows have really impressed me. I was sent the smokey one by the Body Shop to test & review & the other i picked up for 40p at the bootsale.
The colour's are really pigmented and have a great texture. None are crumbly besides a couple which i found to be a little "dusty" (shall we say).
[Full review will be coming soon, along with other BS items]

2True Liquid Liner
I'm not 100% sure of the exact price of this liner, but i know that you can buy 3 products from the 2true range for £5. And honestly..DO IT because this liquid eyeliner, in my opinion..is amazing. I have been using the Rimmel Exxagerate liner but found that when my eyes watered it smudged like crazy & just wouldn't stay put, which is a shame because i loved the applicator. So i scoured my eyeliners & pulled this one out that i had stashed away. I put it on..(with ease might i add) & it did its job marvellously.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Zoom Length Mascara
I got this small tester size mascara in with some freebies when i bought some EL lipsticks a while ago. I wore this mascara to death through the middle of June & slowly stopped using it as i realised it was SO good, it was actually becoming very hard to remove properly. If you are in desperate need of a mascara that DOES NOT BUDGE, whether you have hayfever, or naturally runny eyes, you need this mascara in your life. I really love it but i just didnt think my eyelashes would cope with me wearing it everyday. The formula is good, the brush is good, it just does everything it says on the tube. The price tag for a full size is pretty hefty at £17.50 but really, i think it's worth it. I'm going to be using this for special occasions because i know it works :)

Mac Lipglass Florabundance
I looove this lipgloss. I love the colour, i love the consistency, the smell. Everything. I think it's overtaken Oyster Girl as my favourite lipglass. :O

Estee Lauder Lipstick in Pink Sand
When purchasing the "vanilla truffle" EL lipstick, the MA suggested that as i liked pinky/nude tones for my lips, i would love "Pink Sand" which i'm sure she said was Gwenyth Paltrow's signature lipstick colour & that she wore it on her wedding day. I have to admit, the packaging doesnt really do it for me, but i love the weight of it. It feels special haha. & the colour is just gorgeous. I prefer it to Mac's Angel. & it has a nice taste/smell too.

BareMinerals Faux Tan
I have done a review of this product HERE.
I don't have much else to say aboout this that i haven't already said, other than the fact this is now my HG bronzer...I LOVE it & i use this everyday now. I feel naked without it.

So those are my June Favourites.
I hope you enjoyed..
If any of you can ever reccommend something to me you think i'd like, Please do. :)
Have a lovely evening all.
